Over the past decade, Netflix has given us a plethora of remarkable shows to obsess over. From the obvious flagships like Stranger Things and Sex Education to the more niche shows like Virgin River, the streaming service has provided us with plenty of entertainment. And on that note, Bridgerton deserves a mention.
Produced by the legendary Shonda Rhimes of Grey's Anatomy fame, Bridgerton became an instant hit when it debuted in 2020. Set in Regency England, the show won over audiences with its accurate depiction of the period and sultry love scenes.
Given Bridgerton's initial success, it's no wonder the series has expanded to three seasons, with Season 3 premiering in a few months, and spawned a fan-favorite spin-off, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. And apparently, the show is so popular that its fans are clamoring for another spin-off.
Bridgerton: Origins of Love
Since Season 1, Bridgerton has followed a pattern established in the Julia Quinn novels on which it's based. Each installment revolves around a particular Bridgerton and tells the story of how they find love. For example, the upcoming third season will focus on Colin.
Likewise, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story explored the budding relationship between the title character, who viewers know from the main series, and King George III. And it turns out that franchise fans would love a show about the Bridgertons' parents, Edmund and Violet.
Ample Material
Apparently, Violet and Edmund's romance has been mentioned many times in the show. And it seems that the facts revealed about them make for a fascinating love story.
'Throughout the show, Violet and Edmund Bridgerton's relationship is brought up a lot as a "goals" couple. All of their kids talk about the special love they had and I feel like this is a big deal to the Bridgertons. I would absolutely love to see them make a show out of this (similar to the short Queen Charlotte series in which they showcase the queen and king's love story from when they were young)!' one Redditor pointed out.
Plus, such a spin-off would have everything a show needs: from an exciting love story to sizzling drama.

Still, let's hope that if Netflix decides to go ahead with this spin-off, it will do so after releasing new episodes of the main show. Season 3 of Bridgerton is expected to premiere on May 16.
