PlayStation just dropped a stacked December 2025 PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup, packing a day-one release and a mix of blockbuster AAA and standout indies—all landing December 16, except Skate Story.

PlayStation just dropped the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for December 2025, and yeah, it’s a big one. A little something for stealth fans, soulslike masochists, parents of young racers, and people who want to build the world’s most chaotic log flume. Most of these hit on December 16. One exception: Skate Story, which arrived day-and-date on December 8.

How the tiers work

Everything below lands in the PS Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium unless I call out otherwise. Only one title is Premium-only, and you’ll see it when you get there.

The December lineup

  1. Assassin's Creed Mirage (PS4, PS5)

Ubisoft’s back-to-basics Assassin’s Creed: tighter stealth, slick parkour, and an actually walkable city instead of 42 square miles of question marks. You’re Basim, a street thief working your way up to Master Assassin in a gorgeous 9th-century Baghdad. On PS Plus you’re also getting the free 'Valley of Memories' update, which expands Basim’s story, adds the AlUla region, and layers in gameplay improvements. Developer: Ubisoft. Release date: October 5, 2023.

  2. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS4, PS5)

Team Ninja’s action RPG with a soulslike spine drops you into 184 AD, Late Han Dynasty China, as an unnamed soldier carving through demons wrecking the Three Kingdoms. Expect Chinese martial arts-inspired swordplay, a spread of weapons, spellcasting, and summons via Divine Beasts. It’s brutal, fast, and it rewards patience and precision. Developer: Team Ninja. Release date: March 3, 2023.

  3. Skate Story (PS5)

Day 1 on PS Plus: released December 8, and it hit the catalog the same day. You’re a demon skating through the Underworld because the Devil told you to ollie to the Moon and eat it for your freedom. Yes, that is the premise, and yes, it rules. Flow through nine layers of the Underworld, rescue lost souls, stomp demons, and lock into the rhythm of your board. The art direction is eye-melting in the best way. Developer: Sam Eng. Release date: December 8, 2025.

  4. Granblue Fantasy: Relink (PS4, PS5)

Cygames’ action RPG brings real-time combat and four-person party synergy to the Sky Realm. You’re the captain, assembling a crew of skyfarers to chase the fabled island of Estalucia. Explore the Zegagrande Skydom, tangle with the mysterious Church of Avia, and coordinate Link Attacks and Chain Bursts in solo or four-player co-op. Developer: Cygames, Inc. Release date: February 1, 2024.

  5. Planet Coaster 2 (PS5)

The theme park builder that lets you dream big, then forces you to actually run the place without tanking your ratings. Build coasters and water rides, customize everything, and pay attention to what guests actually want. Sandbox and Franchise modes are in, and you can create with friends. Developer: Frontier Developments. Release date: November 6, 2024.

  6. Cat Quest III (PS4, PS5)

Set sail as a purrivateer in the Purribean hunting the Northern Star. It’s a colorful 2.5D open-world action-adventure loaded with treasure, gear, and an unreasonable number of Pi-rats. The Pirate King is on your tail, you’ll dive into dungeons across different biomes, and you can play solo or co-op. Also: boat. Developer: The Gentlebros. Release date: August 8, 2024.

  7. LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5)

Aloy’s world, now in bricks. This is a playful retelling where you and a buddy (online or couch co-op) can swap between Aloy and other unlockables like Varl, Teersa, and Erend, each with their own skills. Lighthearted, joke-friendly, and still about stopping a digital threat to save Earth. Developers: Guerilla Games, Studio Gobo. Release date: November 14, 2024.

  8. PAW Patrol: Grand Prix (PS4, PS5)

A kid-friendly kart racer built around winning the Pup Cup in four-player championships. Pick pups like Chase, Skye, or Marshall and zip through places like Adventure Bay and the Jungle. Grab Pup Treats for power-ups and unlock each pup’s unique skills to flip a race late. Developer: 3DClouds. Release date: September 30, 2022.

  9. PAW Patrol World (PS4, PS5)

A 3D open-world adventure with a new story: stop Mayor Humdinger and save the PAW Patrol Day Festival. Explore recognizable locations, run missions and rescues, and keep it breezy with easy-to-learn mechanics. Play solo or in split-screen co-op. Developer: 3DClouds. Release date: September 29, 2023.

  10. Soulcalibur III (PS4, PS5, Premium only)

The classic weapon fighter returns for PS Plus Premium with modern conveniences like rewind and quick save. Sharpen your main’s style and dig into modes: Chronicles of the Sword mixes in real-time action, while Soul Arena lets you jump into Quick Play versus CPU or take on Mission Mode with specific scenarios. Developer: Project Soul. Release date: October 25, 2005.

When everything drops

All of the above hit the PS Plus Game Catalog on December 16, 2025, except Skate Story, which is already live as of December 8.

What I’m eyeing first

Mirage brings back the classic stealth vibes, Wo Long is a great holiday skill check, and Skate Story is the kind of artful oddity I love to see get a day-one spotlight. What’s your first download?
