Percy Jackson Season 2 Trailer Drops, Teasing an Epic New Quest on Disney+
Disney+ has dropped the Season 2 trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, teasing a bigger quest in Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg’s adaptation of the beloved books, which premiered in December 2023. Walker Scobell returns as Percy Jackson as the series readies fans for its next chapter.
Disney+ dropped a fresh look at Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, and yep, we are sailing straight into The Sea of Monsters. If you watched Season 1 back in December 2023, this picks up right where things left off, with bigger creatures, messier gods, and higher stakes.
The setup
The series comes from Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg and adapts Riordan's wildly popular books. Season 1 covered the 2005 novel The Lightning Thief. Season 2 moves to book two, The Sea of Monsters, which is basically summer camp chaos meets nautical nightmare.
What the new footage sets up
Camp Half-Blood's magical border is failing, which is not ideal when your neighbors are monsters. Percy heads into the Sea of Monsters to find Grover and track down the Golden Fleece, the one thing that might fix the camp's defenses. He is not going alone: Annabeth is in, Clarisse is very much in, and Percy meets his cyclops half-brother Tyson along the way. The clock is ticking, because Luke and the Titan Kronos have a plan that starts with wrecking the camp and doesn' t stop until Olympus itself is on the line.
