Paramount Plus Unwraps a Holiday Binge: Every New Show and Movie Dropping December 22–28, 2025
Paramount Plus caps December 22–28 with a prestige twofer: The Kennedy Center Honors lands Tuesday, December 23, streaming as CBS airs it live, while A GRAMMY Celebration of Latin Music rounds out the week.
Paramount Plus is keeping the week calm and classy: just two big music specials, both also on CBS. No giant binge dumps here, but if you like legacy honors and starry performances, you’re set.
What’s new and when
- Tuesday, December 23: The Kennedy Center Honors (also airing live on CBS)
- Sunday, December 28: A GRAMMY Celebration of Latin Music (also on CBS, 8-10 p.m. in both ET and PT)
The Kennedy Center Honors
This is the 48th annual edition, spotlighting lifetime artistic achievement across music, theater, and film. The ceremony took place December 7, 2025, in Washington, D.C., and, yes, President Donald Trump hosted this year’s event. Make of that what you will.
Who’s being saluted: George Strait, the country legend behind songs like "Unwound" and "Fool Hearted Memory"; KISS, the rock institution featuring Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley; Michael Crawford, the English actor and singer who won a Tony for "The Phantom of the Opera"; Gloria Gaynor, the disco icon responsible for "I Will Survive," "Let Me Know (I Have a Right)," and "I Am What I Am"; and Sylvester Stallone, the Hollywood heavyweight behind the Rocky, Rambo, and The Expendables franchises.
A GRAMMY Celebration of Latin Music
Sunday brings a two-hour special celebrating Latin music, co-hosted by Wilmer Valderrama (yes, from NCIS) and Roselyn Sanchez. Expect performances from Michael Buble, Gloria Estefan, Angela Aguilar, Maren Morris, and more. It’s a straightforward, performance-heavy showcase built to play well over the holidays.
Short version: a light week on new titles, but two glossy, live-event vibes to stream while you’re parked on the couch.
