Outlander: Blood of My Blood Episode 8: Here’s When It Hits MGM+

We are one week out from the Outlander: Blood of My Blood finale, and the prequel just dropped its most gut-punch episode so far. Episode 8 goes hard: Ellen is forced through a humiliating 'virginity test' that is exactly as invasive as it sounds, and Henry and Julia finally cross paths again for a brief, tender reunion. He learns she named the baby William. It is sweet and sad and very Outlander.
If you somehow missed the memo, Blood of My Blood is a dual love story: Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), who eventually become Jamie Fraser's parents; and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), aka Claire's parents. Yes, the show is toggling between the two families that set up Jamie and Claire's world, and yes, the inside-baseball scheduling is about to get weird too.
When and where to watch
In the UK, Outlander: Blood of My Blood is on MGM+. It premiered Saturday 9 August with a two-episode drop, and new episodes have been arriving every Saturday since. In the US, it rolls out on Fridays on Starz.
The 'skip week' wrinkle
Because of course there is one: the series is taking a skip week in the week commencing 29 September. Translation: you will get episode 9 on Saturday 27 September, then nothing the following Saturday. The finale lands the week after, on Saturday 11 October.
