Only Murders in the Building's Going Stellar: 3 Top-Tier Actors to Join the Cast for Season 4
The next installment of the beloved Hulu show will be packed with famous actors.
Season 3 of Hulu's original comedy-mystery series Only Murders in the Building came to an end months ago, before the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike. And while it was picked up for a fourth season almost immediately, there wasn't much clarity about the show's future. Fortunately, the strike ended and the actors were allowed to return to work.
Apparently, season 4 of Only Murders in the Building is currently in the works, as new cast members have been announced. Reportedly, these three fan-favorite actors will join the show's stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez, as well as Meryl Streep, who will reprise her role from Season 3, in their new adventure as they move from New York to Los Angeles to complete their investigation into the murder of Sazz Patacki.
Eugene Levy
The star of the American Pie franchise is probably best known to modern audiences for the hit sitcom Schitt's Creek, which he co-wrote and led with his son Dan. The comedy show, which ran for six seasons, was a huge hit and has many fans around the world who would like to see a spin-off. But it seems that Levy will be busy with season 4 of Only Murder in the Building, playing an undisclosed character.
Eva Longoria
The 2000s brought us many iconic shows, but few can compare in cultural significance to Desperate Housewives, starring Eva Longoria. The actress has had many roles since the ABC drama, but it remains her most iconic. Longoria has appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Empire. And now, she's set to have a recurring role in Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building. No details about her role have been announced yet.
Molly Shannon
Throughout her extensive career, this comedic actress has had many roles in television and film. Though Molly Shannon's roles aren't big, she's a legend in the genre, boasting roles on Seinfeld, Sex and the City, 30 Rock, Glee, The Middle, Life in Pieces, The Other Two, and The White Lotus. In addition, Shannon has also worked on the animated series Hotel Transylvania. So it seems that Only Murders in the Building will be another comedy show under the actress' belt.
All three will play recurring characters, but will also be crucial to solving the crime.
