Hoist the Jolly Roger—Netflix has finally locked a premiere date for One Piece Season 2, with the fan-favorite live-action adventure ready to set sail again.

No, it has not been 87 years. But if you have been waiting on One Piece Season 2, it has felt long. The good news: there is now a date floating around for when the Straw Hats sail back onto Netflix.

The date (allegedly)

Multiple online reports say One Piece Season 2 will hit Netflix on March 10, 2026. Netflix has not shouted this from the rooftops yet, so consider it a very strong pencil-in rather than ink. Still, that target lines up with the show’s production schedule and how big this thing is getting.

Who is back on the Going Merry

  • Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy
  • Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro
  • Emily Rudd as Nami
  • Jacob Romero as Usopp
  • Taz Skylar as Sanji

What Season 2 is promising

'unleash fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet'

That line comes straight from the Season 2 description. The crew is leaving the relative safety of the East Blue and heading into the Grand Line, the mythic belt of ocean where the fun, chaos, and danger all spike. Expect oddball islands, weird weather, and bigger, meaner enemies as Luffy and company chase the ultimate prize and try to keep the Marines and assorted rivals off their backs.

Quick refresher

One Piece is based on Eiichiro Oda’s record-setting manga, the top-selling series in Japan. The show follows Luffy, a freedom-obsessed rubber boy with a pirate hat and a dream: find the treasure called One Piece and become King of the Pirates. To do that, he has to build the crew he always wanted, nab a ship, roam every corner of the sea, outrun the law, and outsmart people who do not play fair.

How we got here

Netflix’s live-action One Piece launched in August 2023 and surprised a lot of people by actually being good. Fans and critics gave it high marks for its energy and for sticking closer to the source than most anime-to-live-action attempts. Netflix renewed the show two weeks after it premiered, and Season 2 filming was slated to start in June 2024. If the March 2026 date holds, that is a lengthy wait, but not shocking given the scale, locations, and VFX this show now needs.

The takeaway

Put March 10, 2026 on your calendar, but maybe do not carve it into stone just yet. Either way, the Straw Hats are gearing up for the Grand Line, and it sounds like the threats are getting nastier and the adventures even bigger. I am in.
