Netflix charts a bolder course for One Piece Season 2, sending the Straw Hat Pirates deeper into the Grand Line with iconic islands, fresh foes, and fan-favorite arcs pulled from the manga and anime.

Netflix just laid out where the Straw Hats are sailing next, and yeah, Season 2 is going full Grand Line: bigger map, weirder stops, and some beloved arcs that fans have been waiting to see in live action.

When to expect it

No exact date yet, but Netflix says One Piece Season 2 premieres in 2026 in the US. Filming wrapped back in February 2025, and here is a fun production tidbit: Season 3 is already in motion. The locations rundown came via Netflix Tudum on October 19, 2025.

'What One Piece Season 2 location are you looking forward to the most?'

Where the Straw Hats are headed

Loguetown

Nicknamed the town of the beginning and the end, this is where Gol D. Roger was executed, and where Luffy heads straight for the execution platform because of course he does. Expect a bustling port city vibe, with spots like the Loguetown Opera and plenty of sword shops tucked around the streets.

Reverse Mountain

The not-so-warm welcome to the Grand Line. Currents run wild, storms get mean, and the waterways literally flow uphill as the four Blues meet and surge toward the summit. It is a natural filter where lots of pirate dreams go to die, so the crew will earn every inch getting through.

Laboon

Not an island. A whale. A massive, friendly Island Whale named Laboon, scarred from ramming Reverse Mountain for years. He is looked after by Crocus, a former doctor who tends the Twin Cape Lighthouse and shepherds ships safely off the mountain and into the Grand Line. It is one of those wonderfully odd One Piece chapters that either reels you in or breaks your heart. Probably both.

Whisky Peak

On Cactus Island sits a pirate-friendly town that throws a party like you would not believe. Underneath the confetti? Baroque Works. The name comes from the ridgeline dotted with grave markers that gives the summit a cactus silhouette. Expect smiles up front, knives behind the back.

Little Garden

Frozen in time since the dinosaur days, complete with hourly volcanic eruptions and actual dinos stomping around. It is home to Dorry and Brogy, two giant warriors who landed more than a century ago and have been dueling here for 100 years. As destinations go, this one is chaos in widescreen.

Episode count and titles

Season 2 sticks to eight episodes, same as Season 1. What is On Netflix posted the official titles, and they are not subtle about where we are headed:

  1. Episode 1 - The Beginning of the End
  2. Episode 2 - Good Whale Hunting
  3. Episode 3 - Whiskey Business
  4. Episode 4 - Big Trouble in Little Garden
  5. Episode 5 - Wax on, Wax Off
  6. Episode 6 - Nami Deerest
  7. Episode 7 - Reindeer Shames
  8. Episode 8 - Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom

Those point straight at Laboon, the Little Garden chaos, and a trip to Drum Kingdom. New faces are on deck too, which tracks with how stacked these arcs are.

The vibe

Season 1 proved this adaptation can land the big swings. Season 2 is aiming even higher as the crew properly digs into the Grand Line. I am curious to see how they visualize Reverse Mountain’s uphill waterways and, yes, how they bring Laboon to life. One Piece Season 1 is streaming now on Netflix; Season 2 hits in 2026 (US).
