Brace for delay: One Piece Chapter 1163 is on break next week, halting the God Valley Battle Royal arc and putting the long-teased Rocks D. Xebec vs Imu showdown on ice.

Quick heads-up before we sail into it: mild spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1162 ahead. If you want to go in clean, turn back now. Everyone else, grab a snack.

Yep, One Piece 1163 is on break

If you were gearing up for Rocks D. Xebec vs Imu next week, sorry to crush the dream. One Piece Chapter 1163 is taking a breather. Totally on brand for Oda to slam the brakes right when the God Valley flashback is going nuclear.

Chapter 1162 officially lands on October 12, 2025, and then we cool our jets. Given how bonkers this flashback has been, the pause makes sense: let Oda rest, and let the rest of us collect our jaws off the floor. The last chapter read like someone compressed an entire war arc into a handful of pages: old secrets resurfacing, god-tier powers popping off, betrayals everywhere. You know the drill.

Short version: this break feels a lot like the quiet right before Oda drops the sledgehammer.

When 1163 actually arrives

Here is when the next chapter is scheduled to hit, depending on where you live:

  • Japan (JST): Monday, October 27, 2025 at 12:00 AM
  • United States (PT): Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 7:00 AM
  • United States (ET): Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM
  • India (IST): Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 7:30 PM
  • UK (BST): Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM

What 1162 sets up (and why 1163 matters)

Working off the widely circulating 1162 leaks, here is the short-and-spicy version of what went down:

Rocks D. Xebec storms God Valley on a rescue mission for his wife, Eris, and their kid, Teach. The Celestial Dragons are in the middle of their disgusting Native Hunting Competition, so yeah, the stakes are ugly. Eris tells Xebec to rendezvous in Lulusia afterward — yes, that Lulusia, the one fated to get nuked by the Mother Flame. Not exactly subtle foreshadowing.

Then the power dynamics get weird. Big Mom plans to hand the Azure Dragon Devil Fruit to Katakuri, and Kaido decides 'nope' and eats it himself after blindsiding her. That alone would have been a headline, but the battlefield keeps escalating. Garp shows up like a heat-seeking missile the second pirates are within sniffing distance.

The real curveball: Imu actually moves. Not metaphorically — literally. Imu manifests and takes control of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn in a way that is very much 'spider horror' energy. Meanwhile, the Davy Clan gets turned into literal demons. It culminates with this ridiculous visual: Rocks, Kaido in full dragon mode, and Whitebeard squaring up against Imu. That is the kind of matchup that makes Marineford look like preseason.

What to expect when the break ends

All signs point to Chapter 1163 diving straight back into that showdown. If Oda is lining up Rocks, Kaido, and Whitebeard against Imu, he is not doing it for a casual scuffle. Expect big swings, ugly surprises, and at least one reveal that detonates a fan theory or two.

Annoying delay? Sure. But with Oda, delays usually mean he is cooking something that needs a minute. Consider this your calm-before-the-chaos window.
