Reports have emerged in recent days that suggest Kim Kardashian and Odell Beckham Jr have formed a relationship. The news comes after confirmation that the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver has officially split from his long-term partner, model Lauren Wood.
Businesswoman and reality star Kim Kardashian was spotted with NFL legend Tom Brady at a party this summer, but that turned out to be nothing more than two wealthy and well-known stars chatting at an A-list event.
However, according to People magazine, the connection with Beckham Jr is of a romantic nature. The official term used in the report is 'hanging out', with representatives for both stars yet to make any official statement.
Some might argue that Tom Brady is more in the Skims creator's league when it comes to celeb status, but as we all know from Romeo and Juliet, love crosses boundaries. But should Kim Kardashian and Odell Beckham Jr announce they're officially together, it might be left to the star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians to foot the bill on their first date.
Kim’s various businesses and TV appearances have amassed an enormous net worth of $1.7 billion. This dwarfs the mere $40 million earned by Beckham Jr for during his NFL career so far. And so it should. Her salary is said to be $80 million a year – twice the total wealth of her 'allegedly' new partner.
In fact, her personal wealth makes that of Brady, who was the richest NFL player before his retirement with a net worth of $300 million, look pretty poor (you know, comparatively).
While there has been no official confirmation of this conscious coupling up, a source close to the pair is reported to have told In Touch that they are 'dating' and that 'Odell even went to Kim's in Calabasas…a few weeks ago.'
Kardashian has split from Pete Davidson, who was subjected to online threats from her ex-husband Kanye West while the pair were together. West and Kardashian have four children together and, despite his erratic behaviour, the rapper is sure to remain part of their lives. So, if the rumours are true, Beckham Jr may have to get used to a different type of fame that he may not quite be used to despite that epic catch for the New York Giants against the Cowboys.
