Now You See Me: Now You Don’t hits digital platforms as Ruben Fleischer takes the helm for the franchise’s third sleight-of-hand caper, reuniting the Four Horsemen with fresh recruits.

If you like your capers with card tricks and smug grins, good news: the third Now You See Me movie, perfectly titled 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't', just popped up on digital today. Here's who's back, what's new, and what you actually get if you hit rent or buy.

Who's pulling the strings this time

The original crew returns: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher (yep, she sat out the second film and is back in the saddle), Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. They're joined by a younger trio of up-and-coming magicians played by Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers), and Ariana Greenblatt (Borderlands). Rosamund Pike (Saltburn) shows up as Veronika Vanderberg, a diamond heiress with a pretty ugly Rolodex that includes arms dealers, traffickers, and warlords.

What the story is actually doing

The movie reintroduces the Four Horsemen and pairs them with the new kids for a globe-trotting job aimed at exposing Vanderberg. Morgan Freeman's Thaddeus is in the mix, helping the vets and rookies stop undercutting each other long enough to take down someone who is very good at not getting caught. Expect slick misdirection, puzzle-box plotting, and a bunch of practical illusions that are actually done on camera.

"A magic-fueled heist packed with twists, turns, and reveals."

What you get with the digital release

Rent or buy the digital version and you don't just get the movie—you also get a decent pile of extras, including craft-focused pieces for folks who like seeing how the sausage gets made. Highlights include the director jumping into a well-established franchise, a look at the new cast energy, and a surprisingly robust dive into the illusions themselves.
