1. Flesh of the Gods
Release Date: 2025
A vampire thriller from Mandy director Panos Cosmatos. The movie follows a couple living in 1980s Los Angeles who leave their luxurious mansion for the city on a Friday night in search of adventure. Things take an unexpected turn when they encounter a mysterious stranger.
Flesh of the Gods may be one of the most interesting and unusual thrillers of 2025. Greek director Cosmatos likes to go beyond the ordinary and surprise the viewer with a phantasmagoric style.
The script for the movie was written by Andrew Kevin Walker, the author of the cult stories Seven and Sleepy Hollow. The film stars Oscar Isaac and Kristen Stewart.
2. Blood on Snow
Release Date: 2025
An adaptation of the novel of the same name by Norwegian author Jo Nesbø. According to the plot of the book, the main character, a killer, has to kill his boss's wife because she cheated on him.
Instead, he develops feelings for her and decides to shoot her lover. But this only worsens the situation and sets off a series of bloody events.
The project will be directed by Cary Fukunaga, who directed No Time to Die, several episodes of the first season of True Detective and Maniac. So far it is only known that Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Tom Hardy will appear in the movie.
3. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Release Date: 2025
The third part of the popular franchise about detective Benoit Blanc. Plot details are unknown, but most likely director Rian Johnson will not deviate from the successful concept of a hermetic and ironic detective.
Daniel Craig will return to the lead role, with Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington and many others appearing in supporting roles. As always, the cast is impeccable, including both rising stars and established actors.
4. The Battle of Baktan Cross
Release Date: August 8, 2025
Paul Thomas Anderson, the director of There Will Be Blood, is preparing a new movie. Almost nothing is known about the plot, Anderson wrote the script himself.
There are rumors that the movie could be an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's postmodern novel Vineland. The book is about the government's war on drugs during the Richard Nixon era.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn have been announced in the cast. Alana Haim, guitarist for the band Haim, will also star in the movie. She previously starred in Anderson's film Licorice Pizza.
5. Now You See Me 3
Release Date: November 14, 2025
A new chapter of the franchise about talented magicians with the habits of Robin Hood. The previous part ended with the defeat of the main enemy of the secret society – Arthur Tressler.
The plot of the new movie is unknown, but the name of Daniel Radcliffe, who played Tressler's son, is listed in the cast. Perhaps the characters will have to face the revenge of a powerful family once again.
6. Sacrifice
Release Date: 2025
A satirical thriller from French director Romain Gavras. According to the plot, a radical group breaks into a charity event. They are looking for a mystical artifact linked to an ancient prophecy.
Anya Taylor-Joy will play the militant leader of the group. To prevent the apocalypse, they kidnap a fallen Hollywood star, the richest man on the planet and a random girl.
