Noah Schnapp Sets the Record Straight on Viral Stranger Things Season 5 TikTok

Stranger Things Season 5 hype meets hoax as Noah Schnapp jumps on Instagram to call out a TikTok impersonator and snuff a viral spoiler.
Stranger Things 5 hype is already melting brains, which means the internet rumor machine is in full, chaotic bloom. Case in point: a fake TikTok pretending to be Noah Schnapp tried to seed 'spoilers,' and Schnapp stepped in — sort of — to shut it down.
The fake TikTok that had people guessing
A TikTok account going by @schnapper290 racked up over 114K followers while posting videos that supposedly teased Season 5 reveals. One clip used the song 'I Think We're Alone Now,' which some fans took as a coded hint about Mike and Will's relationship — the long-running 'Byler' theory that's only grown louder since Schnapp came out on TikTok in January 2023. Fun for speculation, sure. Actual evidence? Not so much.
Schnapp weighs in (and says it isn't him)
According to a screenshot shared on X, Schnapp posted an Instagram Story calling out the impersonation and making it clear he's not on TikTok anymore.
'This is not me and anyone impersonating is also not me. I deleted TikTok months ago.'
That Story is gone now. The X user who shared the screenshot, Eli (@Elias_posts), claimed it was up for roughly 30 minutes before it vanished. Important caveat: there's no concrete way to verify that the Story itself was legit. What can be confirmed is that Schnapp's TikTok account no longer exists, which lines up with the claim that he deleted it.
Either way, the supposed 'spoilers' from the fake account aren't real. Fans have been cheering the call-out, but expect more nonsense attempts as the premiere gets closer. That's the game.
What actually matters: when you can watch
- Part 1 lands November 26, 2025
- Part 2 follows December 25, 2025
- The series finale drops December 31, 2025, with a limited theatrical release in the U.S. and Canada
Bottom line: ignore the TikTok noise, save your energy, and we'll see what's actually canon starting in late November.
