New Nintendo Switch 2 amiibo are live for preorder, and we’ve rounded up every listing in one place so you can secure them fast and finish your collection.
I thought Nintendo had quietly moved on from amiibo. Then the latest Nintendo Direct rolled in and said: absolutely not. We got a stack of new figures across Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Kirby Air Riders, and a shiny Super Mario Galaxy duo. Pre-orders are popping up now, and if history has taught us anything, it is better to lock these in before resellers get frisky. Also, fair warning: taken together, this is not a cheap hobby.
Pre-orders and what each amiibo actually does
- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Samus & Vi-O-La - US: $39.99 at Best Buy, UK: £24.99 at Nintendo - Releases Nov 6, 2025. Samus riding her new bike, Vi-O-La. Think sleek, Akira-style motorcycle energy. Nintendo has not said what it unlocks in-game yet.

- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Sylux - US: $29.99 at Best Buy, UK: £16.99 at Nintendo - Releases Dec 4, 2025, same day as the game. Nintendo is also keeping the in-game unlock a mystery for now.
- Kirby Air Riders - Kirby & Warp Star - US: $49.99 at Best Buy, UK: £33.99 at Nintendo - Releases Nov 20, 2025. Pricey, but adorable. Tapping Kirby gives you a Figure Player you can train and level up. If you also own Bandana Waddle Dee, you can swap who rides which machine.
- Kirby Air Riders - Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star - US: $49.99 at Best Buy, UK: £33.99 at Nintendo - Releases Nov 20, 2025. Same deal: scanning grants a trainable Figure Player, and if you have both Kirby and Waddle Dee, you can switch riders between the Warp Star and the Winged Star.
- Super Mario Galaxy - Mario - US: $39.99 at Best Buy, UK: £24.99 at Nintendo - Releases Apr 2, 2026. Mario blasting off a Launch Star with a Luma in tow. In the Super Mario Galaxy Switch collection, tapping this unlocks a Life Mushroom.

Switch vs Switch 2: what works where
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 Switch collection are landing on the original Switch, so their amiibo will work on the older hardware just fine.
Kirby Air Riders is a Switch 2 exclusive, and its Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee figures only unlock content on Switch 2. That said, like most amiibo, you can scan them in multiple games across Nintendo hardware. Just remember: the specific bonuses listed above are tied to their own games. For example, Rosalina only gives you that 1-Up Mushroom in the Super Mario Galaxy Switch collection.
A couple quick notes before you smash preorder
The Kirby Air Riders figures are the priciest of the bunch but arguably the cutest, with chunkier builds to fit the machines. The Mario and Rosalina duo feels like day-one scalper bait thanks to the poses alone, so if you care about those, do not wait around. And on the Metroid side, the two Samus figures hit first in November, while Sylux drops alongside the game in December, with all three still keeping their in-game perks a secret for now.
