If you didn't follow the Twitter spat between conservative political pundit Ben Shapiro and rap icon Nicki Minaj but want to know what the Internet has been buzzing about for the past two days, here's a timeline of everything.

June 21, 2023

Pop star fan account @Snshores posts a clip from The Ben Shapiro Show in which the host, known for sometimes straying from political commentary and turning to pop culture criticism, bashes Sexyy Red's 'Pound Town' and the 'Pound Town 2' remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Shapiro specifically attacks the lyrics of the breakout single, which went viral on TikTok, mocking the lines and Nicki Minaj's popularity with the younger generation.

Half an hour later

Nicki Minaj responds to the clip, asking Shapiro to leave her out of the discussion.

In the post, Nicki is referring to one of her alter-ego personalities, Roman Zolanski, an outspoken and vicious homosexual man from London.

Around five hours later

Ben Shapiro rejects Minaj's request, pointing out the sexualized nature of her songs.

Another five hours later

Minaj drops a killer answer to the delight of her fans, fueling hilarious 'enemies to lovers' fan theories.

Shapiro comes up with an answer that makes people think the two are feeding each other's publicity at this point.

Seven hours later

Minaj seemingly ends the dialogue by responding to Ben's tweet with a gif of a confused David Rose from Schitt's Creek.

Two hours later

Shapiro, who is apparently not ready to end the dispute, posts an episode of The Ben Shapiro Show in which he details his feud with Minaj.

In the video, the host once again trashes the lyrics of 'Pound Town,' calling them 'vulgar' and 'crude,' and lashes out at Minaj and Sexyy Red, making fun of them.
