Known to fans as Cousin Greg, Braun was taken into custody on a DUI charge, instantly setting social media on fire.

Nicholas Braun had a not-great Labor Day weekend. The former Succession star was pulled over in New Hampshire and arrested on a DUI charge. Here is the straight-through version without the drama.

What police say happened

Late Friday night over the holiday weekend, police in Moultonborough, New Hampshire stopped Braun while he was driving. He was arrested on two counts: suspicion of DUI impairment and operating without lights (read: driving without headlights). He was taken to the Carroll County jail, held for about an hour, and then released on his own recognizance. No bail was required.

One weird bit of inside baseball: there is no mug shot. TMZ reports the booking camera at that station was down, so he did not get the usual front-and-profile photo op.

Where it goes from here

  • No injuries were reported in connection with the stop.
  • Court records show a court date set for the morning of September 16.
  • As of now, Braun has not commented publicly. His last social media post was about 22 weeks ago.
  • On the work front, he appeared in Splitsville earlier this year, and next up is a movie called Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie. Yes, that is actually the title.

DUIs are serious, obviously. If Braun says anything or the case moves, I will update. Until then, that is the situation.
