Netflix drops a tantalizing first look at Bridgerton Season 4, promising dizzying highs, gut-punch lows, and one big question: will our favorites rise to the occasion?

Netflix just dropped the first look at Bridgerton season 4, and yes, we are indeed going back to the ton. The teaser is all silk, masks, and drama, and it keeps asking: 'Will you rise to the occasion?' Short answer: you have time to think about it, because this one rolls out in 2026.

Release plan

Season 4 is eight episodes, split into two parts:

Part 1 covers episodes 401 through 404 and lands January 29, 2026. Part 2 wraps it up with episodes 405 through 408 on February 26, 2026.

What this season is about

The spotlight moves to Benedict Bridgerton, the bohemian second son who is very much not in a hurry to settle down. That changes when he crosses paths with a mysterious 'Lady in Silver' at his mother Violet's masquerade ball. It is a classic meet-cute with a masked twist, and the show is clearly leaning into the romance and the secrets.

Who is running the show

Jess Brownell returns as showrunner and executive producer. She is joined by EPs Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen. In other words: the core creative brain trust is firmly in place.

'The scripts that Jess and her team have come up with are dynamite. They are really, really, really exciting. The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella. You remember being told those stories as a child - the magic and the romance of them. It is really exciting to have that woven into the world of Bridgerton. It is such a great story, but it is also, I hope, really relatable.'

- Luke Thompson, on season 4

The takeaway

The only hiccup is the wait: two drops a month apart, but both in early 2026. Plan your dance cards accordingly.
