This year has already seen a number of Netflix premieres, and it doesn't seem to be stopping with new releases. In particular, the comedy department has been enriched with new shows added to the streaming service.
These five are perhaps the best recent comedy releases on Netflix.

If you're not a fan of surrealism, this South Korean comedy is definitely not for you, as it follows a young woman who accidentally turns into a chicken nugget.
Choi Min-ah steps into a new machine at her father's office, thinking it's a device to treat fatigue, and is turned into a perfect chicken nugget. Her father and his assistant, who is unrequitedly in love with her, try to turn her back into a human before someone snacks on Min-ah and discovers a lot of secrets.

This Israeli comedy centers on two lifelong friends, Pini and Nisso, who run a bar together in Jerusalem and are staunch supporters of the local soccer team, Beitar Jerusalem. It seems that nothing could drive them apart, but their friendship is put to the test when their business faces financial problems and their favorite soccer team is about to play its most important game in Krakow, where they travel in hopes of leaving their troubles behind.
How to Ruin Love (6.4 on IMDb)
The South African comedy-drama follows Zoleka, a young woman who is overcome with jealousy over her boyfriend, whom she suspects of cheating on her. Determined to catch him in the act, she devises an elaborate plan. But things don't go as planned, and instead of catching him red-handed, she ruins his secret proposal. Now Zoleka must right her wrongs and win her boyfriend back.
Geek Girl (6.6 on IMDb)
Adapted from Holly Smale's novel of the same name, this British-Canadian series tells the story of Harriet Manners, an anxious teenager struggling to fit in and build relationships with her peers. To make matters worse, she is often bullied by her classmates. But things take a sudden turn when Harriet and her class take a trip to London during Fashion Week and she catches the attention of top modeling agents who offer her a job.
