More Drama: Predicting the Bridgerton S3 Subplots We'll Come to Love

The upcoming Season 3 of Bridgerton is set to revolve around the romantic arc of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton aka Polin, which is of course exciting. We know these characters, we love them, and we're ready to dive deep into their love story any day now (hopefully sooner rather than later).

But Bridgerton wouldn't be one of the best romantic shows out there if it didn't have a number of subplots that enrich the main story and tie it to previous and future seasons. Here are the characters whom fans predict to appear in Bridgerton Season 3, besides Polin.

Kate

Season 2 didn't focus too much on the happy side of Anthony and Kate's relationship, so fans are hoping to get a glimpse of what a happy married life looks like for Kate.

Of course, her arc should also include some dramatic developments, such as the quirks of being a viscountess, building relationships with the Bridgertons, pregnancy — and perhaps even the birth of her first child.

Francesca

Francesca Bridgerton was barely a part of any major storyline in the first two seasons and is supposed to come of age in Season 3.

Fans familiar with the show's source material, Julia Quinn's books, are excited to see Fran make her social debut and probably even get married in the coming episodes. Yes, Fran's solo novel is not about her first marriage — sorry if that's a bit of a spoiler!

Benedict

The second Bridgerton sibling is long overdue for some character development, so some book fans are sure he will find purpose in Season 3 after meeting a beautiful, mysterious stranger at a masked ball. This should be the bridge to Season 4, but only if it is dedicated to Benedict's romantic storyline.

Featheringtons

With the Featheringtons being a big part of the previous seasons and Penelope being the main character of Season 3, fans are predicting that we'll see a lot of this family. There are storylines that need to be resolved: the fallout from Cousin Jack's scam, the issue of no heir and control of the estate, Prudence's search for a husband, and others.

Viewers are also hoping for some character development for Portia because, after all, the Jack storyline made her understand how important her family is to her. And that would be only natural if she finally stopped terrorizing her girls.
