The list just dropped—and the backlash is instant. Surprise picks, glaring snubs: do you agree?

Millie Bobby Brown just did the unthinkable: she ranked every Stranger Things season. And yeah, you can probably guess what she put at the bottom.

Chatting with Vanity Fair, Brown laid out her personal order of favorites across all five seasons. From the top down:

  • Season 1
  • Season 5
  • Season 3
  • Season 4
  • Season 2

Her reasons track. Season 1 is her ride-or-die because of the nostalgia factor and because, for her personally, that was the wild, life-changing moment when this whole thing blew up. Season 5 lands right behind it because she loves how it looks and feels and thinks the story delivers.

As for the cellar-dweller, Brown was surprisingly gentle about Season 2. She basically said it lands last because she barely remembers it, then added this little grenade:

"Everyone hates episode seven."

Not everyone agrees. Noah Schnapp (Will) pushed back, saying Season 2 gets "way too much slander." Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) kept it short: "Underrated season."

Honestly, her top choice makes sense. Season 1 became a phenomenon for a reason: small-town horror, a legit murder-mystery hook, and an IV drip of '80s nostalgia. For me, Seasons 3 and 4 kind of blur together stylistically, but I also give the edge to 3 thanks to the Battle of Starcourt, which still rules.

The Season 2 discourse, though, always circles back to Episode 7, The Lost Sister. That detour sends Eleven off to find a "sister" and a crew of misfits, and a lot of viewers bounced off the tonal shift and the way it halts the momentum right when the season is gearing up for the finish.

If you agree with Brown on Season 5: same here. We gave Volume 1 four stars for its big, splashy set pieces and gut-punch performances. And the ending of Volume 1? Buckle up — it goes hard.
