Michelle Pfeiffer roars back to TV with Taylor Sheridan's The Madison — and a second major series lands just a month later.

Michelle Pfeiffer is about to own spring 2026 on TV. One foot in the Yellowstone world in March, the other in an Apple series in April. And that Apple show? It finally pairs her with David E. Kelley. Took long enough.

The Sheridan-verse stop: The Madison

First up in March: The Madison on Paramount+. It is a contemporary Yellowstone spin-off from Taylor Sheridan, with Pfeiffer co-starring alongside Kurt Russell. Pfeiffer plays a grieving mother who heads to Montana to seek therapy. She is not the main character here, but she is a presence.

The one to circle: Margo's Got Money Troubles

Then comes the splashier swing: Margo's Got Money Troubles, an Apple TV+ original premiering April 15, 2026. It is created by David E. Kelley — yes, the David E. Kelley who has been married to Pfeiffer since 1993 — and this is somehow the first time they have worked together.

The premise has teeth. Margo (Elle Fanning), the daughter of a onetime pro wrestler and a former Hooters waitress, gets pregnant, drops college, and turns to OnlyFans to make money. Pfeiffer plays Shyanne Millet, the mom with complicated wisdom and sharp edges. Nick Offerman plays Jinx Millet, the ex-wrestler dad who, knowing a thing or two about performing for an audience, gives Margo pointers. As Margo pivots from classes to camming, she also gets counsel from a faculty member played by Nicole Kidman — her fourth collaboration with Kelley after, among others, Big Little Lies — while leaning on Shyanne when it matters.

Cast, roles, and a familiar face playing himself

  • Michelle Pfeiffer as Shyanne Millet
  • Elle Fanning as Margo
  • Nick Offerman as Jinx Millet
  • Nicole Kidman as a college faculty member
  • Greg Kinnear as Kenny, Shyanne's boyfriend
  • Lauren San Giacomo as Tessa
  • Marcia Gay Harden as Elizabeth
  • Michael Angarano as Mark
  • Chris Jericho as himself

Why this pairing matters

Kelley has been a TV machine for three decades, starting with legal juggernauts like L.A. Law, The Practice, Ally McBeal, and Boston Legal, then stretching into hits like Big Little Lies, The Undoing, Big Sky, Mr. Mercedes, Chicago Hope, Goliath, and The Lincoln Lawyer. Pfeiffer, meanwhile, is a three-time Oscar nominee (Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Love Field) who glided from Scarface (and yes, Grease 2) into one of the most quietly versatile careers around. She last popped up on TV as Betty Ford in The First Lady back in 2022. Putting her in Kelley's world at last feels overdue and a little thrilling.

Bottom line: The Madison gives Pfeiffer a grounded, grief-tinged turn in March. Margo's Got Money Troubles, arriving April 15, looks like the bigger flex — a sharp, star-packed family mess with Pfeiffer right in the blast zone. That is the one I am most curious to see.
