It has been a minute, but Samus is finally back. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is locked for a global, simultaneous launch, which is great for hype and terrible for sleep schedules. Here is when it actually unlocks where you live, plus a quick sense of what Nintendo is teeing up this time.
When Metroid Prime 4: Beyond unlocks
The game goes live worldwide on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 17:00 UTC. Publishers do this one-time-for-everyone rollout so no region gets a head start. If you are on the far side of the world from UTC, that can tip you into Friday local time. No VPN shenanigans required.

What Nintendo is promising this time
Story-wise, Samus wakes up on an unknown planet, immediately caught between hostile local creatures and the Galactic Federation. She has to figure out how and why she got there, and the game leans into that classic Prime paranoia of who to trust and who to blast. The twist this go-around: new telepathic abilities that add another layer to exploration and combat. Pair that with a big, open-feeling world to poke at, and the pitch is pretty straightforward: push the series forward and do some things the franchise has not done before.
I am in. Which Metroid entry is your personal favorite, and where does Prime 4 land on your anticipation meter?
