McBee Dynasty Under Investigation? The FBI Fraud Case That Could Bring Down the Family

The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys just dropped one of the season's biggest bombshells — and it didn't even happen on camera.
During a hot mic moment in Season 2, Episode 3, Steven McBee Jr. accidentally confirmed what fans had been speculating: his father, Steven McBee Sr., is under federal investigation.
The reveal came after CFO Galyna Saltkovska brought up the FBI during a heated office conversation. Steven Jr. immediately dragged her off-camera into his office, thinking the mics weren't recording. They were.
There, Steven Jr. admitted:
"My dad is under an FBI investigation. And you are the only one, and my mom, that even know this was going on. So, it has to stay between us."
After Galyna promised her silence — "I got your back" — Steven Jr. called his mother Kristi McBee in a panic:
"Galyna just about outed Dad's situation to everyone here at the office. I don't know what to do."
Even off camera, the stress was clear. In a confessional later, when a producer confronted Steven Jr. about the recording, he refused to elaborate:
"I don't want to talk about that. F--k. This is hard."
He admitted his brothers, Cole and Jesse McBee, don't even know. "I don't know if my dad's gonna be in prison this time next year. I don't know what's going to happen."
What's Steven McBee Sr. Accused Of?
The case is very real. In November 2024, Steven Sr. pleaded guilty to federal crop insurance fraud — specifically, falsifying crop production reports from 2018 to 2020, underreporting corn and soybean totals to claim inflated federal subsidies.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri, the fraud cost the U.S. Department of Agriculture millions.
Key figures:
- Over $3 million in fraudulent federal crop insurance subsidies claimed
- Faces up to 30 years in federal prison (no parole)
- Owes the government more than $3 million
- Sentencing scheduled for September 9, 2025
A Family Under Pressure
In a separate interview with The Daily Dish, Steven Jr. described the ordeal as a "cloud that's been looming over us at all times." While the family waits for sentencing, he said:
"We love and support our dad, and we know who he is. We know how hard he works and how much he cares about us boys and our family. There's a lot of speculation that is not accurate, and we will have a time and place to be able to talk about that. Just not yet."
Fans Think Galyna Turned Him In
Online, viewers have their own theory: that Galyna Saltkovska, the McBee Farm's CFO and Steven Sr.'s ex, was the one who tipped off the FBI.
"She 100% turned him in," one fan wrote.
"Would explain why she didn't get arrested also," another added.
"Like the old saying goes, 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,'" someone else chimed in.
It doesn't help that Galyna holds a 10% stake in the McBee businesses, which Steven Jr. admitted gives her "so much leverage over us right now."
Whether or not she played a role in the FBI case, viewers aren't convinced she's done stirring the pot — but the real question is whether the McBee family can keep their empire intact before September.
