McBee Dynasty Implodes After Calah's On-Air Threat

After weeks of tension on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, things finally exploded — and this time, it wasn't a dramatic voiceover or passive-aggressive dinner. It was an on-air threat.
During the July 28 episode, Calah Jackson dropped the line that shook Bravo fans out of their wine haze:
"I have so much tea on this family. If I wanted to, I could bury them."
This came after a disastrous family trip to the Ozarks, where Calah and Steven McBee Jr. showed up "as friends" — a claim that started to fall apart the minute cameras started rolling. What began as a tense but manageable reunion turned into a full collapse after a boozy night, a fight with Steven's younger brother Cole, and zero backup from Steven.
Off-camera, the situation was just as messy.
- Calah and Steven met in 2021, filming Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer
- Since then, they've broken up "15 or 16 times," according to Steven
- Their most recent breakup happened at the end of 2024, after season 2 wrapped
- Calah confirmed via Instagram that they've stayed separated since
Steven told Us Weekly that viewers will see the real end of the relationship play out in the final episodes of season 2:
"You'll see how that all plays out and we've really been broken up since then."
He also admitted that being too open with his family made things worse:
"There was definitely some foot-in-mouth moments without a doubt that I regret. I wish I would've held things tighter to my chest."
One of the biggest regrets? Not reaching out when Calah's sister passed away. Steven had advised his siblings to keep their distance, thinking it was the right move at the time — but changed his mind once the show aired. He reached out afterward to apologize, texting:
"Hey, I just want you to know my family and I, we handled that wrong. There were so many ways we could have handled that better."
According to Steven, his entire family apologized to Calah after the fact.
So where do things stand now?
Steven says they have "a tremendous amount of respect for each other," but confirmed they are no longer together. No rekindled romance, no secret reconciliation — just one last batch of unresolved tension headed to Bravo.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
