Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 roars back, with Jeremy Renner’s Mike McClusky juggling cops, cons, and kingpins to keep a prison-run city from detonating. Every deal is dirty, every peace temporary—and the cost of control is rising.

Mayor of Kingstown is back in the mud where it likes to live. Jeremy Renner returns as Mike McClusky, the guy everyone treats like a mayor even though nobody voted for him, trying to keep a prison town from eating itself alive. Episode 3 of Season 4 is up next, it is called 'People Who Died' (yes, that title is a choice), and it looks like the show is about to turn the screws even tighter.

Spoilers for Episode 2 below.

Quick refresher: Mike did not ask for any of this. After his brother Mitch died, he inherited a job that is more triage than leadership, juggling police, prison brass, street crews, and everyone who profits off Kingstown staying broken. That balance is cracking.

Episode 2, 'Promises to Keep' (aired Nov 2, 2025), pushed everything closer to the edge. Gangs tightened their hold. Tension inside the prison boiled over. Mike’s leverage slipped. Iris stayed close as his anchor, while his mom, Mariam, worried from the sidelines in the way only a mom can. Kyle stayed loyal but clearly hates what this place does to people. Warden Nina Hobbs followed her own playbook that does not line up with Mike’s, and Detective Ian Ferguson teamed with Kyle to fight a street war that looks unwinnable on a good day.

What Episode 3 is setting up

'People Who Died' widens the blast radius. Mike and Ian dig into a cover-up ugly enough to rattle Kingstown’s already rotten foundations. Moses is walking Bunny through the mechanics of the underworld like he is onboarding him into a nastier job, which hints at bigger moves coming. Kyle’s patience is fraying as the system keeps kicking him in the teeth. And with cartel pressure building, Mike goes looking for help in places that usually come with strings attached.

The title suggests exactly what you think it does: not everyone is getting out clean. We have seven more episodes after this, and the season is shaping up to be a hard look at how power corrodes even the people trying to use it for good. The question is whether Mike can still keep the plates spinning, or if Kingstown just swallows its so-called mayor whole.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 streams exclusively on Paramount+ starting November 9, 2025. Got theories or a doomsday prediction for who that episode title is talking about? Drop them below.
