Ruby uncovers a scandal at elite Maxton Hall and collides with wealthy heir James, sparking a combustible romance. With Season 2 wrapped, the burning question remains: is Season 3 renewed or canceled?

Quick update for the Maxton Hall crowd: the show is not going anywhere. Season 2 wraps today, and Season 3 is officially happening.

If you’re new here, the series follows Ruby, who stumbles into a major secret at the elite Maxton Hall and collides with James, the rich, arrogant guy who becomes the other half of this messy, very watchable romance.

So, is Season 3 happening?

Yes. Prime Video has already renewed Maxton Hall for Season 3.

"The good news is we have three seasons."

That line came from Christoph Schneider, the executive running Prime Video in Germany and Austria. He said it in an interview ahead of Season 2 even premiering, which is a nice bit of behind-the-scenes confidence you do not always see.

Where Season 2 lands

Season 2 has six episodes, same as Season 1, and the finale is today, November 28, 2025. Unlike the first season, which dropped all at once, Season 2 rolled out episodes on set dates. And for anyone wondering if Prime would split the season in two like some streamers love to do now: they didn’t. It was a staggered release, not a part 1/part 2 situation.

How Season 3 got locked

The renewal was finalized in June. In a very on-brand move for this cast, Harriet Herbig-Matten video-called Damian Hardung to share the news directly. Season 3 adapts Save Us, the third book in Mona Kasten’s trilogy, so if you’ve read the novels, you know where Ruby and James are headed.

Who’s expected back

  • Damian Hardung
  • Harriet Herbig-Matten
  • Sonja Weißer
  • Eidin Jalali

That’s the state of play: Season 2 finishes today, Season 3 is locked, and the story moves into the final book. Now we wait for dates.
