Balance sweep: 13 heroes adjusted
NetEase is going after the healing-heavy status quo while throwing some help to underperformers. It’s a sizeable pass with specific, targeted changes. Highlights below.
- Buff - Angela: Divine Judgement now grants 40 bonus health to her per enemy hit (up from 30); allies get 20 (up from 15).
- Buff - Venom: Feast of the Abyss (Ultimate) now applies 30% healing reduction for 4 seconds.
- Buff - Blade: Daywalker Dash secondary attack range extended to 6.5m (up from 4.5m); Bloodline Awakening’s slash-speed window lasts longer; land all four hits of Whirlwind Slash and you now gain 1 slash-speed stack.
- Buff - Iron Fist: Each Yat Jee Chung Kuen strike deals 3.1% of the target’s max health (up from 2.7%), with fixed damage lowered to 8 (down from 9).
- Buff - Mister Fantastic: Distended Grip now immobilizes pulled targets for 1 second.
- Buff - Hela: Astral Flock casts faster and grants 25 bonus health on activation.
- Buff - Psylocke: Dance of the Butterfly (Ultimate) now hits for 170 per strike (up from 150) and her self-slow drops to 15% (down from 30%).
- Buff - Rocket Raccoon: C.Y.A (Ultimate) damage boost climbs back to 40% (up from 25%).
- Nerf - Human Torch: Fire Cluster projectile damage trimmed from 5.5 to 5; ammo reload delay increased; Plasma Body movement speed reduced from 900 to 850.
- Nerf - Phoenix: Dark Ascent now has a 1s cooldown and no longer refills ammo; melee attacks no longer stack Sparks.
- Nerf - Cloak & Dagger: Eternal Bond (Ultimate) energy cost increased from 4300 to 4500.
- Nerf - Jeff the Land Shark: Oblivious Cuteness passive now cuts crit damage by 50% (down from 70%).
- Nerf - Ultron: Imperative: Patch healing reduced from 35 to 30; the healing bonus to his followed ally drops from 10 to 5; Ultimate cost jumps from 3400 to 3700.
Phoenix mains are absolutely going to feel that Dark Ascent change. No free ammo means your timing has to be perfect, period. Human Torch also gets dialed back enough that high-rank lobbies might finally stop auto-banning him. On the upside, Rocket’s Ultimate buff climbs back to the 40% days we lost in April, which should make carry-support setups nasty again. Venom’s anti-heal is a clean answer to the sustain meta, and Mister Fantastic can actually pin down slippery targets instead of just being mildly annoying.
So, what’s your move on patch day? Instalock Daredevil or ride with your current main while everyone else fights over Hell’s Kitchen’s finest?
