Marvel and WWE Heavyweights Join Jason Statham in The Beekeeper 2

Jason Statham is back to sting in The Beekeeper 2, and the hive just got louder: Guardians of the Galaxy standout Pom Klementieff and WWE powerhouse Adam Copeland have joined the action sequel, now rolling cameras.
Jason Statham is back to swing a honey-dipped sledgehammer in The Beekeeper 2, and the sequel just added two very different kinds of ringers: Pom Klementieff and WWE vet Adam Copeland. Cameras are already rolling, but the studio is doing that fun thing where they tell us everything and nothing at the same time.
Cast: who is in the hive this time
- New additions: Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: Impossible) and Adam Copeland (the wrestler-turned-actor you probably know as Edge)
- Returning cast: Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave
- Previously announced newcomer: Yara Shahidi
- Lead: Jason Statham, obviously
What they are (not) telling us
Plot specifics and character details for Klementieff and Copeland are locked up for now. So expect the usual slow-drip of reveals later. For anyone who missed the first film, the series centers on a former government assassin who gets yanked out of retirement to settle scores the loud way. The original made $162 million worldwide, which explains why we are here.
Behind the scenes
Timo Tjahjanto is directing the sequel, with Kurt Wimmer back on script duty. Statham is also producing through Punch Palace Productions alongside Chris Long of Longshot Productions and Wimmer. Miramax is financing and producing, and Amazon MGM Studios will handle the global release.
Where the schedule lands
No official date yet. The target floating around town points to summer or fall 2026. Pencil it in lightly.
Inside baseball corner
If you track who represents who (because Hollywood runs on these phone calls), Klementieff is with CAA, Range, and 42West. Copeland is managed by Daniel Abrams at OAZ and Samantha Hill at HillTop Entertainment. The casting news came through the trades, per Variety.
Gut check
Klementieff excels at precise, physical roles, and Copeland brings a bruiser presence that this franchise loves. If they let Tjahjanto go full-tilt with the action, this could be the nastiest, most propulsive entry yet. Now, about those secret roles…
