Love Next Door: How Many Episodes Are There & Is It Worth Watching?
There are never too many quality k-dramas.
The Korean romantic drama Love Next Door starring Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min premiered on August 17, and in just two episodes, the new k-drama has managed to enter the top 10 of Netflix's global ratings.
What is Love Next Door About?
Two long-time friends live in Korea, one has a daughter, Bae Seok-ryu, who works for a large company in the US and is preparing for a wedding. The other has a son, Choi Seung-hyo, who has become one of the most famous young architects in Korea.
But one day, Bae Seok-ryu unexpectedly returns to Korea and announces that she has quit her job and called off the wedding. And Choi Seung-hyo, who is preparing to open his own architecture firm, begins to seriously doubt his decisions. At a crossroads in their lives, the son and daughter meet again.
Love Next Door is a Perfect Summer Project
The main thing that makes this drama so captivating is its amazing dynamic. Bae Seok-ryu is a whirlwind of a girl, who creates turmoil around her. As soon as she appears in front of Choi Seung-hyo again, a heavy statuette falls on his back and soon he is being beaten with green onions.
At the same time, we get the feeling from the very first frames that these two have a rich past, as they have known each other since they were four years old, which we are told in short flashbacks. However, these two have completely different views of their shared childhood.
In the present, however, despite the barbs, it is clear that these two are actually very happy to see each other. Their sparkling first meeting turns into a fiery family showdown, in which Bae Seok-ryu has to explain to his mother what she is doing here anyway.
It can be said that we have a new romantic hit on our hands. A bright, light, funny and extremely dynamic story with excellent chemistry between the characters – a perfect choice to say goodbye to the summer.

Love Next Door Season 1 has 16 episodes planned. So far, two have been released and both have received high ratings from viewers.
