The Love Is Blind Season 9 contestant says she has dropped about 40 pounds since filming, and somehow that became an invitation for people to DM her their thoughts. She responded exactly how you hope someone would: directly, and with a little fire.

After a fresh wave of chatter about her weight, Yuan took to Instagram Stories to remind people that messaging a reality TV contestant about their appearance is not the personality trait they think it is.

She has been saying this for a while

This is not a new stance for Yuan, who is 28. She has dealt with online trolls since the show aired, including people calling her chubby. Earlier this month, on October 2, 2025, she posted a longer note about what that has been like and why it hits a nerve.

Where she stands with the show

Yuan ultimately walked away from Love Is Blind because she did not feel comfortable being vulnerable on camera. That is understandable on its own, and the constant body-shaming swirling around her certainly did not make that easier.

Bottom line: she feels good, she is healthier, and she would like the internet to stop acting like her body is a group project. Touch grass, indeed.
