Looks Like Gold Rush's Rick is Single Again, and Fans Have a Lot to Say About It

Gold Rush is one of Discovery's most famous reality TV series. It started as a show about people with no previous gold mining experience who decided to take a gamble and travel to Alaska to prospect for gold during an economic downturn.

Now the show tracks the working lives of several people running small gold-mining companies in Yukon and Alaska.

While the show's primary focus is on gold mining and everything related to it, it also pays enough attention to the personal lives of its stars. Some of the cast members' lives are fairly happy and uneventful, while other gold miners go through lots of tumult and tribulations. One of such stars is Rick Ness, who was on the show from Season 2 and started leading his own crew from Season 9 onwards.

Insofar as Gold Rush's fans are concerned, Ness has a great personality and is fun to watch. His outgoing character has helped Rick to attract good workers throughout the seasons, but apparently, it wasn't enough to develop a sustainable romantic relationship.

Ness is still not married, and his one-time girlfriend, Leese Marie, recently left him again, going by what fans of the show gleaned from her Instagram.

This is not the first time Rick and Leese break up, and the fans' reaction throughout the Reddit thread amounted to 'Good riddance!' as most people expressed their hope that the couple's separation is going to be permanent this time. While it's hard to judge a relationship from a distance, the majority of fans think that this whole romantic story was toxic and blame it on Leese.

Some people also believe that Ness' relationship problems were at least partially the reason why he was absent from Season 13, appearing in only one episode where a friend visited him at his home while not doing any actual mining.

Ness himself attributed his absence to his illness and his mother's passing, but many still think that Leese is to blame.

All in all, the news of Rick Ness' breakup with Leese Marie came as a relief to fans who now hope that their favorite star will finally recover from his earlier problems and reappear in the future seasons of Gold Rush.
