Krysten Ritter Just Said Too Much About a Jessica Jones Comeback After the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Leak

Jessica Jones may be back on the case after Daredevil: Born Again, with Marvel lining up her next adventure.
Krysten Ritter is not done playing Jessica Jones. After popping up in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, she basically said the quiet part out loud: more Jessica is coming.
What she said
Ritter told interviewer Brandon Davis that she and Marvel Studios TV boss Brad Winderbaum have already been talking about where to take Jessica next and that there is still a lot left to dig into with the character.
"I'm not going to say any of it because we're going to be doing it."
That is one of those non-answers that is absolutely an answer. The takeaway: whatever this post-Born Again thing is, it sounds real, and it sounds like it is moving.
What that likely means
Reading between the lines, this could be a Disney Plus one-shot in the same vein as The Punisher's own special, a standalone project, or another strategic appearance somewhere else in the MCU. Either way, it sure does not sound like Jessica's return was a one-and-done cameo.
The timing is spicy
This tease came just days after Ritter leaked a snippet of the Born Again season 2 trailer from NYCC. Not exactly the usual rollout playbook, but here we are.
Quick refresher on how we got here
- Ritter first played the no-BS private eye across three seasons of Netflix's Jessica Jones, plus The Defenders team-up with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
- In 2024, Marvel pulled those street-level Netflix heroes back into official MCU canon.
- Daredevil: Born Again kicked off that return earlier this year, with Ritter showing up in season 2.
- At Disney's upfronts in May, Ritter told the crowd that returning to Jessica inside the MCU is a thrill and hinted that there is more ahead for the character.
What's next
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is set to hit Disney Plus next March. Based on Ritter's not-so-subtle tease, expect Jessica Jones to stick around after that.
