Kristen Bell is shutting down chatter that she, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad scored colossal paydays for Frozen 3 and Frozen 4. She disputes a report pegging her own haul at $60 million to return as Anna.

Kristen Bell just poured cold water on those eye-popping headlines about her Frozen paydays. The number making the rounds was so huge it turned heads in and out of animation, and even Bell says it sounded wild to her.

The $60 million rumor everyone saw

Recent chatter claimed Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad would each take home roughly $60 million to voice Anna, Elsa, and Olaf across Frozen 3 and Frozen 4. Do the math and that puts a combined $180 million in front of the franchise’s core trio, who have anchored the first two films.

What Bell actually said

In a red-carpet chat at the Actor Awards, Bell declined to share her salary but pushed back hard on the mega-deal narrative.

"There’s been a lot misreported about that Frozen deal. No, no, no, no, no, that’s somebody making a lot of things up. But that said, am I happy to have that job and does it pay very well because it’s a successful franchise? Yes. And I’m so grateful for it, and I will continue to do it for the rest of my life if they’ll have me."

She also admitted the sticker shock hit her, too:

"Didn’t it sound absurd when you read it? When I read it, I was like, 'Whoa, whoa, what?'"

Why the number blew up

Because Frozen is that big. The 2013 original became one of Disney’s most successful animated releases ever and held the animated box office crown until Frozen II topped it. When a franchise performs at that level, outsized salary rumors practically write themselves.

What’s actually locked in

Story details for Frozen 3 and 4 remain under wraps. Disney has the third film on the calendar for November 24, 2027 in U.S. theaters, and a fourth movie is already in development. Beyond that, the only thing Bell is confirming is her enthusiasm. If they keep making these, she’ll keep showing up to play Anna.
