Kpop Demon Hunters and 4 Other Most Anticipated Movies to Be Released in June 2025

Prepare your calendars, movie buffs.
This month, we see the return of fast zombies, dragon riders, and deadly robots. However, there are also some entirely new projects, such as one about a UFO abduction and another about demonic K-pop stars.
1. KPop Demon Hunters
Release Date: June 20, 2025
A trio of young singers – Rumi, Zoey, and Mira – has conquered the Korean pop scene. In their free time, the girls change out of their sparkly stage costumes and into black latex. They take out katanas and save their fans and the world from demons that devour souls.
The demons don't give up easily, though. They change tactics by turning into irresistible guys and forming a Korean boy band.
2. How to Train Your Dragon
Release Date: June 13, 2025
The animated film is about Vikings who live on the island of Berk and fight dragons. Only the young Hiccup, the weak son of the chieftain, decides to do the unthinkable: make friends with a wounded dragon, nurse him back to health, and fly with him through the skies.
While the original animation departed boldly from Cressida Cowell's books, the new film will closely follow its source material – that is, the animation itself.
It seems that the DreamWorks studio did not try to do anything new – in fact, they emphasize in promotional shots how carefully they copied the 2010 film.
3. 28 Years Later
Release Date: June 20, 2025
Twenty-eight years have passed since the start of the pandemic that turned people into crazy, aggressive, and, most importantly, fast cannibals. In Britain, the remaining survivors are hiding in a village on the island of Lindisfarne.
One day, however, they will have to leave the island and confront the infected on the mainland.
The first films were dramatic, tense, and frightening, not because of the walking corpses, but because of human cruelty and madness in the face of disaster. This is not the end of the series, but rather the beginning of a trilogy set in the same universe. The second film is already finished, and the third is in production.
4. M3GAN 2.0
Release Date: June 27, 2025
Megan, the robot nanny who caused a massacre in the previous film, was not destroyed but punished by having her consciousness transferred into a voice assistant.
However, an even more dangerous gynoid named Amelia escapes from the lab and wants to destroy her creators. To defeat a cybermaniac, you need a cybermaniac of your own. The seemingly reformed Megan has been returned to her body and upgraded in anticipation of an epic female robot catfight.
5. Elio
Release Date: June 20, 2025
Elio is a boy with a rare eye disease who loves science fiction and dreams of being abducted by aliens.
His dream comes true when his signal is received and he ends up in an interstellar version of the United Nations, where envoys from different space civilizations communicate. There, he is mistaken for an ambassador from Earth, representing all of humanity.
This new film is from Pixar, a studio known for its touching fairy-tale comedies for the whole family, and from director Adrian Molina, one of the creators of Coco.
