Kelly Rowland and Method Man Team Up on Prime Video: Release Date Set, First Look Revealed
Prime Video locks a release date for Relationship Goals, the Amazon MGM Studios rom-com pairing Grammy winners Kelly Rowland and Cliff Method Man Smith, adapted from Michael Todd’s New York Times bestseller, with a first-look photo unveiled.
Prime Video just put a date on its next rom-com, and it is not exactly around the corner. Kelly Rowland and Method Man are teaming up for a workplace-love-mess that also leans on a self-help bestseller. Yes, that combination is real, and yes, I am intrigued.

Release date and where to watch
'Relationship Goals' starts streaming February 4, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. Amazon MGM Studios also dropped the first official photo, giving a peek at Rowland and Cliff 'Method Man' Smith in character.
What it is
Based on pastor Michael Todd's New York Times bestseller 'Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex,' the movie follows Leah Caldwell (Rowland) — a razor-sharp TV producer on the verge of becoming the first woman to run New York's top morning show. Right as she is about to make history, her ex, Jarrett Roy (Smith), swoops in gunning for the same job. He says he has turned a corner thanks to the very book this movie is based on. Leah's close friends start reading it too, which triggers a ripple effect in their own love lives. Leah, meanwhile, is locked in on breaking that glass ceiling and is not exactly in the mood to believe in grand romance, even as old chemistry with Jarrett starts sparking again.
The cast
- Kelly Rowland (Think Like a Man, Mea Culpa) and Cliff 'Method Man' Smith (Power Book II: Ghost) lead the movie — both Grammy winners, both going toe-to-toe for the same TV job.
- Supporting players include Robin Thede, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, Matt Walsh, Daniel Malik, Carlos Gonzalez-Vio, and Ronald P Boone Jr., with more to be announced.
Who is making it
Linda Mendoza (Survival of the Thickest) directs. The script comes from Michael Elliot, Cory Tynan, and Laura Lekkos. Michael Todd, Kelly Rowland, and Bart Lipton are executive producers, with DeVon Franklin producing. It is an Amazon MGM Studios production.
Quick take: Rowland vs. Method Man for the top morning show gig while a viral relationship book stirs the pot? That is a fun premise with a very 2026 release date. At least we have the first-look photo to tide us over while the countdown begins.
