How it happened

Chile’s robbery squad found the watches during coordinated raids across Santiago, where officers also stumbled on a broader stash of stolen goods — handbags, electronics, vehicles, and other luxury accessories. After verifying what they had, Chilean officials turned the watches over to the FBI on July 29, 2025. The FBI, working with the LAPD and their Chilean counterparts, then got the items back to Reeves. The bureau made it official in a statement on Tuesday, Nov. 18, calling out the strong cooperation between the U.S. and Chile on the case.
