Keanu Reeves has been reunited with high-value items stolen from his Los Angeles home in 2023 — including his John Wick Rolex — after U.S. and Chilean authorities coordinated to recover and verify the goods, the FBI said, marking a major break in the high-profile case.

Keanu Reeves just got some of the pricey stuff stolen from his L.A. place back — including an engraved Rolex — thanks to a cross-border handoff that ran through Chile. It is a big step forward in what has been a very public theft case.

What came back

Federal authorities say Reeves now has several high-value items returned from the 2023 break-in at his Hollywood Hills home. The haul includes six watches Chilean authorities recovered, among them an engraved Rolex Submariner valued at over $9,500. Prosecutors in Chile put the combined value of the watches around $125,000, and say Reeves personally identified them as the ones taken in December 2023.

How it happened

This recovery was not simple. Chile’s robbery squad found the watches during coordinated raids across Santiago, where officers also stumbled on a broader stash of stolen goods — handbags, electronics, vehicles, and other luxury accessories. After verifying what they had, Chilean officials turned the watches over to the FBI on July 29, 2025. The FBI, working with the LAPD and their Chilean counterparts, then got the items back to Reeves. The bureau made it official in a statement on Tuesday, Nov. 18, calling out the strong cooperation between the U.S. and Chile on the case.

Reeves said thanks — in ink

Keanu sent a handwritten note to the agencies involved. He led with how grateful he was and ended with this:

"Thank you so much for all your effort, dedication, professionalism and cross-border cooperation. My warmest regards, Keanu."

The timeline, quick and clean

  • Dec 2023: Reeves’s Hollywood Hills home is burglarized.
  • Raids in Santiago: Chilean authorities recover the watches amid a larger cache of stolen goods.
  • July 29, 2025: Chile delivers the verified watches to the FBI.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 18: The FBI confirms the property has been returned to Reeves.

Bottom line: a rare, tidy ending to a messy situation — and yes, the engraved Submariner made it home.
