After Jurassic World Rebirth sparked canon doubts, co-creator Scott Kreamer confirms Jurassic World: Chaos Theory still counts—and locks in where Season 4 lands on the timeline.

If you were wondering whether Netflix is about to pretend its animated dino show never happened now that Jurassic World Rebirth is out there, the answer is no. The folks behind Jurassic World: Chaos Theory just put a big neon CANON sign over it.

Yes, Chaos Theory still counts

Co-creator and showrunner Scott Kreamer told ScreenRant at New York Comic Con 2025 that Chaos Theory is absolutely part of the official Jurassic World continuity. He even spelled out where it sits in the larger timeline to shut down the speculation that popped up after Rebirth dropped.

Our series runs kind of parallel, especially season 4, along with Dominion. So, Rebirth is still off in the future from Chaos Theory.

Translation: season 4 is happening at the same time as Jurassic World Dominion, and the new live-action chapter is further down the road. No retcon here.

Where season 4 lands and what it does

Season 4 is positioned alongside Dominion and even loops back to moments from that movie, just from different angles. That is a very franchise-timeline move, but it does make the puzzle pieces click: if you see familiar events, you are meant to.

The setup

This is the sequel series to Camp Cretaceous, following the Nublar Six as they dig into a global dinosaur-smuggling operation centered in Biosyn Valley. That setting lines up neatly with Dominion, and so does the character roster: Dr. Henry Wu shows up, voiced here by Greg Chun, reinforcing the continuity bridge.

Who is back this season

  • Paul-Mikél Williams as Darius
  • Darren Barnet
  • Sean Giambrone
  • Kausar Mohammed
  • Raini Rodriguez
  • Kiersten Kelly
  • Greg Chun as Dr. Henry Wu

Live-action crossover talk

Kreamer did not close the door on the animated crew tangling with the live-action side someday. His words: anything is possible. He also flagged the obvious issue: this group lives in a world where getting everyone out in one piece is a big ask. In other words, fun idea, but bring a first aid kit.

Wrapping it up and when you can watch

The cast sounds like they felt the finish line. Kausar Mohammed called their final recording session really special, and Paul-Mikél Williams pointed out he has been voicing Darius since he was 12, which is a long time to grow up with a character.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 4 premieres November 20, 2025 on Netflix.
