Julia Doyle Joins From Season 4 As A Series Regular

Horror favorite Julia Doyle is officially leveling up.
File this under good news with a long wait: MGM+ has Season 4 of its sci‑fi horror series 'From' rolling cameras in Nova Scotia right now, and the plan is to drop it in 2026. Yes, 2026. Deep breath.
New season, new regular: Julia Doyle joins as Sophia
Per Deadline, the show has added a new series regular: Julia Doyle is playing Sophia, a pastor's daughter who grew up sheltered and is very much not prepared for what this town throws at people. Doyle previously popped up in 'Hell of a Summer' and 'Astrid and Lilly Save the World'. Given how 'From' treats optimism, I have concerns for Sophia already.
Quick refresher: what 'From' actually is
Created and written by John Griffin, the series drops people into a middle‑of‑America town that you cannot leave. The folks stuck there spend their days trying to live something that resembles normal while also hunting for an exit. Nights are another story: the forest around the town spits out creatures after dark, and survival becomes the only job.
Who is who in this nightmare
- Catalina Sandino Moreno and Eion Bailey as Tabitha and Jim Matthews, a married couple reeling from a personal tragedy when their entire family gets trapped here. Their mission: keep the kids alive and find a way home.
- Harold Perrineau as Sheriff Boyd Stevens, whose ironclad rules are basically duct tape holding this place together while he searches for an escape route.
- David Alpay as Jade, a brilliant but insufferably entitled tech bro.
- Elizabeth Saunders as Donna, the tough, no‑nonsense head of Colony House, the town's separatist commune.
- Corteon Moore as Ellis, Boyd's estranged son and a Colony House resident.
- Hannah Cheramy as Julie Matthews, Jim and Tabitha's teenage daughter.
- Simon Webster as Ethan Matthews, their young son, who suffers a serious injury early on.
- Shaun Majumder as Father Khatri, tending to the community's spiritual needs amid all the chaos.
- Ricky He as Kenny, Boyd's deputy.
- Elizabeth Moy as Tain‑Chen, Kenny's mom and the no‑questions‑asked operator of the diner and supply depot.
- Chloe Van Landschoot as Kristi, the town's medic.
- Pegah Ghafoori as Fatima, who is all in on Ellis.
- And now, Julia Doyle as Sophia, the sheltered pastor's daughter stepping into the worst small town orientation imaginable.
Behind the curtain
'From' comes from Midnight Radio and AGBO. Executive producers include Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Mike Larocca, and showrunner Jeff Pinkner, along with Joe and Anthony Russo, creator John Griffin, and Jack Bender (who directed the first four episodes). Adrienne Erickson serves as co‑executive producer.
The 2026 of it all
Season 4 is filming now in Nova Scotia with a target release in 2026. That is a long runway, but between the creature work, the VFX, and wrangling a big ensemble, the post‑production slog tracks. Translation: plenty of time to rewatch, argue about theories, and brace for whatever the show has in mind for Sophia.
