Move over Sukuna—the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo spin-off may have unleashed an even bigger monster. Dabura’s extraterrestrial cursed techniques are rattling even Mahoraga, and Chapter 15 reveals a two-tech arsenal that could redraw the series’ power scale.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is out here rewriting the pecking order. If you thought Sukuna was the final boss of this universe, Chapter 15 basically walks in, points at Dabura, and says: actually, that guy.

Dabura vs Mahoraga: the immediate problem

Mahoraga has always been the nightmare: a divine shikigami that learns on the fly and eventually adapts to pretty much anything. Gojo and Sukuna had to grind that fight. Dabura? He does not wait around.

As soon as Yuka summons the Divine General via the Ten Shadows Technique, Dabura opens fire. Multiple light-like beams rip through Mahoraga before it can even process what is happening. It is not a total kill, but it is a statement. The last panel even shows Mahoraga literally biting into those beams, which reads like the start of its adaptation routine. Can it catch up to whatever this alien is doing? That is the cliffhanger.

What Chapter 15 actually tells us

  • Dabura has two Cursed Techniques. One looks like a 'Light' style attack, firing piercing beams. The other is unnamed and described as something much uglier.
  • Those beams are what appear to drop Mahoraga to its knees instantly, before any adaptation kicks in.
  • The text never says outright that the beam attack is 'Light.' It is implied, but not confirmed. The second technique is kept off the board in name only.
  • Mahoraga is not finished. The final panel hints it may start adapting by interacting with the beams directly.
  • Compared to Gojo and Sukuna, who needed time and strategy to deal with Mahoraga, Dabura goes for overwhelming speed and power from the jump.

The quote that matters

"murderous intent given tangible form."

That is how the chapter frames Dabura's other technique. If the light beams were the warm-up, imagine the ceiling on the one that turns raw killing intent into a physical weapon. If the beams we saw were actually the 'murderous intent' technique instead of Light, then the real Light is still in his pocket. Either way, pick your poison and it is bad news.

So where does this leave Sukuna?

If one of Dabura's two abilities can casually body the Divine General, a Sukuna vs Dabura matchup stops sounding like a fair fight. At minimum, it looks like a humbling. Powerscaling at this point gets wobbly fast.

Simurian jujutsu is breaking the sandbox

Modulo does not just introduce a new heavy hitter; it introduces aliens with a more advanced approach to cursed energy. That is a wild swing for this world, and it makes human sorcerer rules feel small the second they meet it.

Maru was the first clue. His substance-altering technique bends reality with an ease we have not seen from humans. With Dabura, the ceiling goes higher again. If Light alone can stall out Mahoraga, whatever sits above it could be catastrophic.

Also in the mix: Yuji is here, and yes, Mahito shows up in Modulo, because life keeps finding new ways to be annoying for these kids.

The simple version

Dabura is a Simurian with two terrifying techniques. One probably called Light just carved through Mahoraga on its first outing. The other is literally weaponized intent and has not even been properly unveiled. Mahoraga might adapt next chapter, but if Dabura has a trump card waiting, good luck to everyone else.
