The essentials: title, date, and who is making it
Paramount Pictures is calling this one 'A Quiet Place: Part III' (yes, also known as A Quiet Place 3), with Krasinski back in the director's chair after steering the 2018 original and the 2020 sequel. He also wrote the screenplay.
Plot and character specifics are staying in the vault for now. Cameras are expected to roll this spring in New York.
Producing duties are split between Sunday Night's John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger, alongside Platinum Dunes' Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.
The release is set: the film opens in U.S. theaters on July 30, 2027.
'Part III - July 30th, 2027'
Who are the newcomers?
Jack O'Connell has been on a heater: he broke out as Remmick in the Oscar-winning 'Sinners,' recently chewed scenery as Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal in '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,' and is headed into franchise country with 'Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.' Yes, that character name is outrageous, and yes, I smiled.
Jason Clarke brings that steady, slightly-dangerous energy he perfected as John Connor in 2015's 'Terminator Genisys' and as Roger Robb in 2023's 'Oppenheimer.' His resume runs deep: 'Zero Dark Thirty' (2012), 'The Great Gatsby' (2013), 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' (2014), 'Everest' (2015), 'First Man' (2018), 'Pet Sematary' (2019), and 'A House of Dynamite' (2025), among others.
Katy O'Brian has been racking up cool gigs fast: opposite Kristen Stewart in 2024's 'Love Lies Bleeding,' scene-stealing as Elia Kane in 'The Mandalorian,' and popping up in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' (2023), 'Twisters' (2024), 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning' (2025), and 'The Running Man' (2025).
Where the franchise stands
Between the 2018 original and 2020's follow-up, this series nailed high-tension, low-dialogue horror with actual heart. The world expanded again with the prequel 'A Quiet Place: Day One' — Krasinski helped craft the story while Michael Sarnoski directed, with Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn leading that installment.
Now we are headed back to the mainline saga. New York in the spring for production; the rest of us in the summer of 2027, quietly freaking out in a theater.
