Jessica Jones Returns in NYCC Trailer as Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Release Date Finally Revealed

NYCC pulled a fast one this weekend: Marvel showed new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 footage in the room, Krysten Ritter showed up in person, and the trailer still isn’t online. So here’s what attendees saw and what Ritter actually said.
What played in the room
- Matt Murdock and Karen Page looking genuinely happy living together... until things get violently interrupted.
- Jessica Jones dropping by to see Matt during one of his regular church visits.
- Jessica doing Jessica things: putting a few goons down with metal trays like it’s just another Tuesday.
- Matt sporting a new all-black suit, signaling a darker phase ahead.
Yes, that means Matt’s not flying solo anymore. He’s got superpowered backup this time, and it looks like the show is leaning into a meaner tone to match.
Ritter on being back (and saying almost nothing)
Ritter kept the spoilers on lockdown after the screening, but she did give fans a little something (via Entertainment Weekly):
"I got the talking points and they say, 'Please don't reveal anything about Jessica Jones.' I'll say that Jessica is back, and it's exciting to be in the action, and she looks cool as ever."
Translation: she’s in, she’s fighting, and she looks great. Not exactly shocking if you’ve seen the set photos that already spoiled her return, or heard her and Charlie Cox tease their team-up before. This is the same Jessica who once joked she’d punch Matt so hard he’d see again, so expect that snarky, brick-through-a-window energy.
Who else shows up
Foggy Nelson is in the footage too — Elden Henson appears, likely in flashbacks — while Matt is gearing up for another collision with Wilson Fisk. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is now the Mayor of New York, and he’s not just sitting behind a desk; the footage shows him putting in the work, physically. Matt vs. Fisk, round... we’ve lost count, but this one looks nasty.
