Jeremy Allen White Can’t Stop Binge-Watching This One TV Genre
Jeremy Allen White may bring the heat on screen, but off the clock he chills with comfort viewing—and admits he’s hooked on one TV genre he can’t stop binging.
For a guy who brings full-body intensity to pretty much every role, Jeremy Allen White unwinds in a very low-stakes corner of TV. When he’s off the clock, he is, by his own admission, deep into real estate reality shows. If you also scroll listings you’ll never buy, this is your moment of celebrity solidarity.
What he said on SmartLess
On a bonus episode of the SmartLess podcast, the 'Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere' actor spelled out his entire routine: he watches reality real estate shows, he browses listings, and he fantasizes about homes he has zero intention of actually purchasing.
"I’m obsessed with reality real estate shows, and I’m, like, always on my realtor app. I don’t buy anything, but I like to fantasize."
Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett cracked up as he described pinging friends with properties he’ll never tour. The running response he gets back: "Just buy it then!" Relatable, annoying, and funny in equal measure.
The one real estate show he’s fired up about
White also shouted out his current favorite in the genre: he’s amped for season 2 of the real estate docuseries 'Owning Manhattan.' He singled out Ryan Serhant for particular praise, saying he’s seriously impressed with the guy’s drive and grind. In his words, he’s "very impressed by that man," and he meant the dedication and effort behind the hustle, not just the glossy staging.
So yeah, between takes and projects, Jeremy Allen White is just like the rest of us: zoning out to impeccably lit penthouses he’s not going to buy and sending listings to friends who will absolutely roast him for it.
