Supernatural alum Jensen Ackles cracked up SPN Philly Con with a cheeky jab at Amazon series The Summer I Turned Pretty during a fan Q&A alongside Jared Padalecki—an exchange captured in a hilarious video.

Jensen Ackles cracked a joke at SPN Philly Con that somehow managed to roast an Amazon hit, charm a fan, and get a whole room cheering. Classic con energy, and yes, it was caught on video.

The moment everyone laughed at

During a fan Q&A at SPN Philly Con on Sunday, October 5, 2025, Ackles asked a fan, "What show are you binging right now?" Then he tossed in the punchline that blew the doors off:

"If you say The Summer I Turned Pretty, I'm gonna kick you out of this place."

The crowd loved it. The fan, meanwhile, came back with, "I don't know what that is." Ackles, genuinely surprised, replied, "You don't know what that is? I could hug you [right now]."

Then the fan added, "I'm actually making my mom watch Supernatural right now," which got an immediate nod from both Ackles and Jared Padalecki: "Alright, mom. Well done. Thank you."

Also, small bit of inside baseball here: Ackles stars in The Boys on Amazon, and The Summer I Turned Pretty is also an Amazon series. So yes, he roasted a show on the same platform. No one died. The room laughed.

Why they were there

Ackles and Padalecki were in Philadelphia for the show's 20th anniversary celebration at SPN Philly Con (also known as Creation Philadelphia), which ran October 3–5, 2025. It's the annual Supernatural convention organized by Creation Entertainment, and it regularly brings in series staples like Misha Collins alongside the Winchester duo.

Quick Supernatural refresher

If you skipped the long hunt: Supernatural ran from 2005 to 2020 and followed brothers Sam and Dean Winchester as they tracked down demons, ghosts, monsters, and whatever else crawled out of the dark. Their dad, John Winchester (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan), raised them to fight after their mom died under very mysterious circumstances. The series went 15 seasons and wrapped things up with a proper finale.
