Played by Jacob Elordi, who you may recognize from Netflix's The Kissing Booth franchise and HBO's hit drama Euphoria, Elvis Presley is portrayed from multiple sides in Priscilla. The actor's performance, in turn, helps bring out the multifaceted nature of the King of Rock. And even though Elordi is from Australia, his accent is on point. Interestingly, the actor owes his linguistic skills to another peculiar American musician.

Born in Brisbane, Australia, Jacob Elordi has always been a fan of American music. But there's one musician from whom the actor has learned the most.

According to Elordi, he owes his skills at imitating an American accent to Enimen and his music, as this was the artist the actor listened to a lot while growing up.

'I think I listened to a lot of Eminem, like, a terrible amount of Eminem,' Jacob Elordi said in a chat with Kelly Clarkson when the Grammy-winning singer wondered where his American accent came from.

Interestingly, Elordi admits that his American accent in Priscilla may have been too thick as a result of imitating Eminem. But the fact that the actor was able to pull it off is still pretty commendable.

'It was, like, Detroit. You know, I have a big sort of twang to it. And I still love that man [Eminem] so much. I feel more and more I have to thank him so much, you know, for getting that [an American accent],' Elordi went on about the musician's influence on his career.

Jacob Elordi's Other Ventures

Although the actor has been involved in several high-profile projects prior to Priscilla, he's now expected to reach new professional heights. The actor is set to appear in the upcoming drama movie titled On Swift Horses and will reprise his role in the third season of Euphoria, which has been postponed until 2025.
