Lilly starts the hour trying to help, because of course she does. She sets out to clear Ronnie Grogan's dad by snapping a photo that was supposed to catch some spectral proof. Nothing shows up. The cops shrug. She gets nowhere with the one person she still trusts from Juniper Hill. Strike three before homeroom.
At school, Marge Truman pushes Lilly to talk to a boy she likes. Turns out Marge planned to embarrass her, then immediately grows a conscience and decides to come clean. And that is precisely when things go sideways.
Marge begins seeing the impossible: her eyes stretching out like grotesque snail stalks. She claws at her face, panicking. Lilly recognizes a Pennywise special when she sees one and bolts to grab one of her mom's Valium tablets to calm Marge down. She drops the pill in the toilet. Because of course she does.
By the time Lilly races back, Marge's hallucination has her trying to cut her own eyes. Teachers burst in to find the worst-looking tableau imaginable: Lilly on top of Marge, screaming, a wood-shop chisel in her hand, Marge bloody and terrified on the floor. It looks like an assault. It is not one. But Derry is not big on nuance, and suddenly Lilly is back on the fast track to Juniper Hill.
The prequel continues to tighten the screws
The show is set in the 1960s and digs into the early days of Pennywise working his rot into the town. It premiered on October 26, 2025, and it is shepherded by Jason Fuchs, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Brad Caleb Kane, with Andy Muschietti also directing key episodes. Bill Skarsgard is back in the greasepaint as Pennywise, which still feels unfair to anyone trying to sleep. The ensemble around him includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Clara Stack, Amanda Christine, Mikkal Karim-Fidler, and more.
