Timothée Chalamet, the Marty Supreme star, fanned fresh rumors he’s the elusive British rapper EsDeeKid, sidestepping a yes-or-no on Hart Breakfast and dropping a cheeky tease that sent fans into overdrive.

Timothee Chalamet just gave the most non-answer answer to a very online rumor: that he is secretly the masked British rapper EsDeeKid. He popped onto the Hart Breakfast show, got asked point-blank, and instead of shutting it down, he lobbed a little tease that will absolutely keep the Reddit threads humming.

The coy answer that launched a thousand guesses

When the hosts brought up EsDeeKid, they even joked that the two share the same eyes. Chalamet laughed it off and refused to give a straight yes or no. Instead, he went with:

'I got no comment on that. Two words: All will be revealed in due time. That was a little more than two words.'

That is, to be clear, not a denial.

Why everyone is connecting the dots

This rumor did not come out of nowhere. Fans have known about Chalamet’s music side since his LaGuardia High School days, when he performed under the name Lil Timmy Tim. So when a masked UK rapper called EsDeeKid started gaining traction, people started looking for tells.

EsDeeKid dropped a debut album called Rebel in June and is already sitting at 11.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. For a mysterious newcomer, that is a rocket ship launch. There is zero official proof linking Chalamet to the project, but the combination of a hidden identity, his past rap alias, and that not-quite-denial on radio is exactly the kind of puzzle fans love to solve.

Meanwhile, in the actual career lane

  • Chalamet’s next movie, the sports drama Marty Supreme, arrives December 25. It is directed by Josh Safdie and co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Fran Drescher, Sandra Bernhard, and Odessa A'zion.
  • Paltrow has been out here hyping him up too. In British Vogue she called him 'punk rock,' and on The Run-Through With Vogue podcast she told a funny set story: she saw what she thought were skin issues, suggested microneedling, and he had to tell her it was makeup. Her response: an immediate 'oh, s--.'

So... is he EsDeeKid?

He would not say. He could have ended it with a clean 'no' and moved on. Instead, he nudged the door open with that 'all will be revealed' line. Until someone unmasks EsDeeKid or Chalamet drops a surprise behind-the-scenes video, this stays in the rumor column. But if the plan was to keep people talking, mission accomplished.
