An alleged behind-the-scenes shot from Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday flaunting the X-Men is racing across the internet — and fans aren’t buying it, calling the image AI-perfect.

Internet is passing around a new 'leaked' shot from Marvel's 'Avengers: Doomsday' that looks amazing — like... suspiciously amazing. If you have ever seen a studio-approved cast portrait, you know the vibe. This one has it. Which is kind of the point.

The 'leak' everyone is sharing

The image shows a whole cluster of X-Men faces lined up and smiling for the camera, all in razor-clean costumes: James Marsden as Cyclops, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, and Ian McKellen as Magneto.

On paper, that is a fun group. In practice, a couple things make it hard to buy as a candid set snap:

It looks like a glossy magazine spread — uniform lighting, pristine textures, picture-perfect posing. If Marvel wanted to unveil an ensemble shot that polished, they would do it through an outlet like Entertainment Weekly or Variety, not via a random 'leak.'

Monica Rambeau is sitting in there, which is odd for an X-Men roll call. Also, Teyonah Parris is not part of the 'Doomsday' cast list people have been passing around. That mismatch is a red flag.

Why I think it's AI (or at least not a real set photo)

A couple years back, a photo this clean might have been taken at face value. Now we have AI fishing in every timeline, and audiences are way less willing to trust a picture just because it looks official. Between the flawless presentation and the character combination, this feels more like someone stirring the pot than a legit Marvel-sanctioned reveal. File it under: probably bait, maybe a tease of what fans hope to see, but not something to hang your expectations on.

What we actually have on 'Avengers: Doomsday' right now

Setting the image aside, here is the big cast lineup that has been tied to the movie. It is... a lot:

  • Letitia Wright as Shuri
  • Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson
  • Paul Rudd as Scott Lang

Release date

'Avengers: Doomsday' is currently slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.

Bottom line: enjoy the circulating X-Men shot for what it is — a slick conversation starter — but until Marvel rolls out something official, I would not treat it as proof of anything.
