American Idol is a rare example of a reality show that not only entertains but also introduces the public to some truly talented people, inspiring creativity and artistic endeavors.

However, there are plenty of performers who simply get missed out on by the judges, and their impressive talent goes unnoticed. This is a shame, so it's important that the audience pays attention to the contestants, supporting the most talented of them even if they don't qualify for the competition.

Recently, American Idol fans have become particularly interested in one contestant, Megan Danielle, wondering if she'll get an opportunity to become a true American Idol.

The show is now halfway through season 21, and so far, we have seen some really amazing new singers take the stage. One of them is 20-year-old Megan Danielle, who managed to wow the judges with her unique and raw vocals, as well as the emotion she put into the song.

During the audition, she sang "You Say" by Lauren Daigle. Her singing was so heartfelt that the star of the previous seasons of American Idol herself came out to Danielle during the performance. This took Megan by surprise, but it didn't overshadow her at all, as all three judges said yes to her!

In fact, Lauren Daigle herself coming up to support Megan was a real sign of recognition, and this may also expand the young singer's outreach to potential audiences. "She got Lauren's fanbase now so it could benefit her well," one of the fans noted on Reddit.

By the way, Megan Danielle isn't a newcomer to reality TV. In 2020, she made it to the Top 9 of The Voice, which marked the start of her singing career. And in February last year, she released her first single, All Around, dedicated to her late father and Megan's faith in his reunion with God.

But it was after Hollywood Week's solo day that the singer received much attention from the show's audience. Though she was overwhelmed with emotion, her singing was so masterful and full of heart that it seemed the judges themselves were on the verge of tears.

"Her audition was totally forgettable to me but her Hollywood Week performance completely changed me. Much more impressed, curious where she goes," another Reddit user commented.

And other fans seem to agree with this sentiment, hoping that the judges were also stunned by the gifted singer and her brilliant voice. We'll look forward to seeing Megan Danielle on American Idol — or another singing show, if she doesn't make it in this year's competition.
