Could Barry be the next shocking elimination?

The thirty-second season of Dancing with the Stars is in full jazzy swing! With fewer and fewer celebrity contestants left on the show, each star paired with a professional ballroom dancer must work hard, correct their mistakes, and perform better than ever in the upcoming episodes to ensure their passage to the next few weeks.

But while some contestants are already predicted to win this season, the odds are stacked against others. In jeopardy is legendary The Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams, paired with Peta Murgatroyd. Despite how many smiles he brings to the show and how many loyal fans vote for him, we could be in for a twist in the form of a shocking elimination. But what are the odds, and if it happens, will DWTS do it just for the hype?

Disney Night flop

Despite the amount of entertainment Barry's stage persona brings to the show, despite the huge role the nostalgia factor plays in his status, his performances alongside Peta have not been the strongest in the four episodes available.

However, what may put him at risk of elimination is his underwhelming final performance during Disney Night. The couple danced Jazz to the song 'He's a Tramp' from Lady and the Tramp, and everything was bright and cheerful until the couple started moving...

Barry was missing steps, unable to keep up with the overly active Peta, and at one point he even missed a cartwheel, almost letting his falling partner out of his hands. Although the judges noted that he did a great job of correcting his mistakes on the move, the performance was underwhelming and earned them the lowest score of the week.

Will he and Peta suffer a shock elimination?

Besides Barry, there are enough stars like Alyson Hannigan or Mauricio Umansky whose risks of elimination are even higher, but it's those expectations that could play into the hands of the show's producers, who expect to keep viewers intrigued with a twist.

Next week, many couples have chosen to dance Contemporary, a style that usually earns the most points, even if it's not performed by the most talented dancer. However, Barry and Peta's choice of a random Paso Doble to Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf, on a night that are supposed to evoke warm, bittersweet feelings, clearly doesn't help their chances.

However, Barry may stick around for at least a few more weeks, and hopefully he won't be the next to go. The upcoming episode will air live on ABC and Disney+ on October 24th at 8 pm ET and will be available on Hulu the following day.
