Irina Might Be The Worst Cast Member Love Is Blind Ever Seen, Fans Say
Season four of Love Is Blind has just premiered on Netflix.
Each season, this dating reality show features a different cast of participants — 15 men and 15 women who are supposed to go on blind dates before getting engaged and seeing each other for the first time. As dubious as its premise sounds, Love Is Blind showcases even more dubious participants, and fans believe this season’s Irina Solomonova may well be the worst cast member in the show’s history.
The problem is that Irina is fake and manipulative.
On Love Is Blind, we see her being friends with another participant, Micah Lussier, but many people have noticed that Irina uses Micah for her own selfish purposes.
For example, Solomonova encourages Lussier to go after another man because she secretly wants to have Micah’s Paul. What aggravates the situation is that changing partners seems to be against the rules of the show on which you get to meet your “date” only after you’re affianced.
However, viewers also point out that Irina and Micah are actually worth each other:
“Both super insecure girls that channel their insecurity by putting others down/ridiculing others so they can feel better about themselves. No wonder they were immediately drawn to each other as ‘besties,’” KarmaHit commented on Reddit.
Many Love Is Blind’s fans feel aversion towards Irina, saying that she comes off as superficial and insincere. She is always plotting to spoil something for someone, which only makes her look pathetic and miserable. But most importantly, Irina is mean to everybody around her, including even her “friends” or “date/fiancé.” It’s no wonder people see her as one of the worst Love Is Blind cast members in all the four seasons.
“Irina has major self-esteem problems. […] I thought she had a beautiful smile and would be one of the nice ones, but man did that ever change due to her personality,” Redditor KayWar summarized the fans’ disappointment with Irina.
As much as people love reality shows for the abundance of drama and seeing how nasty relationships between participants can get, some people on reality TV are utterly unlikable, and Irina Solomonova is surely one of them. Manipulative and mean, she sabotages her own and everybody else’s happiness — and reality TV fans don’t like getting robbed of a happy ending.
